Kubert- 1926-2012

So...Joe Kubert Died recently.  I'd like to say I've always followed him, worshiped his work, but I can't.  His work was too expansive for that.  The man's influence...I can't say I ever realized how much of modern comics is the direct result of Kubert's stuff.  Still, looking through my collection, I find more and more work done by him, from Conan to Sgt. Rock to Hawkman to Batman: Black and White and Tarzan and more.  I knew his name, but I'd never properly associated the creator, I'd be insulting the stories the man had written by calling him an artist only, or how much his influence has been on some of the best of modern comics.

The cheetamen 2 AVGN controversy

So...what?  You're whining about the fact he decided to provide video in support of a new-cartridge release of an NES game?  He did a brief promo for BattleKid 2, that's swimming around on the net somewhere.  Mind you it isn't known to be a "bad" game like Cheetamen 2, but then James Rolfe seems to enjoy "bad" movies.  I can see how the game would be attractive.

For Lonesome George

He died today.  He will be missed.  Noone should die alone.

Heh

Something hilarious about being banned for attacking a racist homophobic vitrol-spewing idiot.  The guy who thinks any support for creator rights is communism.whom has recently resorted to downplaying rape, and falling back on the "women want it" idea.

Now I'm no perfect being, but come on.  Seriously BC?  You guys would rather have him?  Well, you're welcome to the bastard.
